We developped an ideaconcept about twitter and internet as a social place.

We wanted to show how easy is to interact with the "social webb" using different kind of tangible interfaces: buttons, sliders speakers, you name it. In fact you can use everything you want.....

From the 14/11 to the 6/12 Josabet Werkmäster will be exhibiting her show "My world and your world" at Galleri 21 where part of the exhibition has been given an interactive touch by 1scale1s Tony Olsson. So if you are in Malmö take the chance to drop by Galleri 21 at Tringlen.

On Monday the 3 of November to the Friday 6 of November 1scale1 will be presenting the “40 ways two twitter” at the Öredev conference in Malmö.

On Wednesday evening 1scale1 will also preform a informal workshop where the participants get a quick tutorial on physical computing and how to make their own physical twitter input.

On Friday morning at 9.15 David Cuartielles, 1scale1 co founder, will give a talk about how Building technology for leisure can be become a profitable business as well as the story about Arduino.

Open Softwear is a book about fashion and technology. More precisely it is a book about Arduino boards, conductive fabric, resistive thread, soft buttons, LEDs, and some other things. We started researching three years ago thanks to the support of K3, Malmö University School of Arts and Communication.

Authors T. Olsson, D. Gaetano, J. Odhner, and S. Wiklund got the chance to come together to write down their conclusions in the form of an illustrated book aiming at students and professionals trying to enter the field of physical computing from the softwear perspective.

1scale1 was invited to host an intense crash course during Reboot 11 in Copenhagen, Denmark. We decided to go for the full body interaction theme and teach the participants to create the "body synth" from scratch creating a very direct and play full interface. The workshop went really well even though a very small location in the form of a locker room with a bit to many participants. Pictures of the location and the workshop can be found at flickr and below you have the video with us testing the interface with the children in the Kindergarten at Reboot before the workshop. As seen it is a very direct and fun way of playing with electronics and we will continue to explore possibilities with this technique 

While doing some research for a collaboration with Sudio total and Unsworn we manged to turn David Sjunnesson into a skin keyboard. Enjoy the video where Tony Olsson performance one of his masterpieces on the one of a kind David synth.

For the people that did not make it to the businesses to button conference here is some eye candy of our slightly bigger than average business card. If you cant tell by the pictures it makes a annoying oscillating sound with help of a light sensor.
